LIONS are recognized worldwide for the joint work of its 1.4 miillion members volunteering in 210 countries around the world, serving their communities equally, regardless of Race, Religion and Political views.

The Financial District Lions Club (FiDi Lions Club) founded in 2011 is a New York Charter of Lions Clubs International “LIONS”.  It is a specialty club whose members are professionals and business owners, who enjoy the experience of networking with Lions members worldwide who share the same values, serving their communities and the world through humanitarian projects Lions Clubs International support.

Since its inception the Financial District Lions Club has been actively supporting the blind, causes for children, recycling eyeglasses and hearing aids, hosting fundraising and networking events to promote LIONISM, twinning and other activities.  Our main highlight is the event we host every year in celebration of “FRIENDSHIP AND INTERNATIONAL UNDERSTANDING”.

“Friendship and International Understanding” is once-a-year celebration FiDi Lions hosts for Lions’ members who came together after the long day at the LIONS/UN sessions to dine with your families and friends, relax and being entertained by the sound of Classical Broadway repertoire and favorite arias performed by our Lions professionals.  At times you can sing along, get up and dance, or even be surprised by one of the comedians, who will make you laugh until you cry. The atmosphere is informal and organized in a way that all who attend can feel like a family getting together to celebrate this special evening.

Unfortunately, COVID-19 pandemic has unable us to host this event this year (2021), but we look forward to resuming in 2022, when this pandemic is over. Reservation is always required prior to travel by sending an email to: secretary@nyfidilions.org

The Financial District Lions Club proudly welcome, Lions from around the world visiting New York City, and encourage you to schedule a meeting with us before you travel by email to: secretary@nyfidilions.org
