LIONS are recognized worldwide for the joint work of its 1.4 miillion members volunteering in 210 countries around the world, serving their communities equally, regardless of Race, Religion and Political views.  

The Financial District Lions Club (FiDi Lions Club), founded in 2011 is a New York Charter of Lions Clubs International "LCI", world's largest nonprofit, non-governmental organization (NGO) founded in 1917 during WWI  to serve Chicago's communities in need.  After 100 years of Service, LCI has over 48,000 Charters in over 210 countries continuing the dream of its founder Melving Jones - We Serve!

Lions members serving with the Financial District Lions Club, are all executives, professionals and business owners, who either living or working in New York City, and who enjoy the experience of networking with others Lions members from the US and abroad, who share the same values,  serve their communities and the world through humanitarian projects Lions Clubs Internatinal support around the world.  Our mission is Lions mission:  to empower volunteers to serve in their communities, meet humanitarian needs, encourage peace and promote international understanding though Lions Clubs.


As the Financial District Lions Club is strategically located, we have since its inception in 2011 welcome Lions from around the world who visit New York.  We encourage you to contact us before you travel so that we can organize a welcome dinner or luncheon.

Every year, after the long session at the United Nations FiDi Lions Club host a Dinner with Entertainment at 8:00 PM and all Lions who attend the LDUN are welcome to attend this great evening of friendship, networking and fun while dinning at the sound of Broadway musicals and Opera famous arias performed by our professional entertainers.

The Financial District, also known as FiDi, is a neighborhood located at the southern tip of the borough of Manhattan in New York City, which comprises the offices and headquarters of many of the city's major financial institutions, including the New York Stock Exchange and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Anchored on Wall Street in the Financial District, New York City has been called both the most financially powerful city and the leading financial center of the world, and the New York Stock Exchange is the world's largest stock exchange by total market capitalization.[7][8] Several other major exchanges have or had headquarters in the Financial District, including the New York Mercantile ExchangeNASDAQ, the New York Board of Trade, and the former American Stock Exchange.

MANHATTAN is New York City’s most famous borough, the mecca of America business and luxury.  It is the home of the finest hotels in the world and the premier destination for NYC tourist.  More than 90% of the most popular attractions are found in Manhattan who most people call it New York City. 

The Districts of Manhattan are Lower Manhattan “Downtown”, Midtown Manhattan “Midtown”, Upper Manhattan “Uptown”, Harlem and Washington Heights.

DOWNTOWN is the southmost area of Manhattan below 14th Street. It is the district that determines the world’s economy, also known as the Business District and where government offices are found including the World Trade Center and the NY Stock Exchange, City Hall and the famous Wall Street.  It is the community of the New York Financial District Lions Club.

MIDTOWN runs from 14th Street to 59th Street (South of Central Park. The Empire State Building is located in this are on 33rd Street and 5th Avenue, Rockfeller Center, Times Square and its theaters, MoMa and other top attractions.

UPTOWN, starts at Central Park (59th Street and finishes in 96th Street.  In the western part includes Columbia University and the Cathedral of Saint John the Divine.

HARLEM starts at 96th Street and finishes on 155th Street, where the Apollo Theater is located.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS is the northern part of Manhattan, from 155th Street and finishes on 220th Street.
