New Look Event for Rustington

Following meetings between the Rustington Parish Council, the Rustington Chamber of Commerce and the Littlehampton District Lions Club, it has been agreed that in 2015 the Rustington Carnival and Fete will have a new name and venue. The Littlehampton District Lions Club will be organizing the event in conjunction with Rustington Parish Council and The Rustington Chamber of Commerce. We listened to peoples comments and revalued our resources and decided it was time to organize an event in the village centre.

The Rustington Street Fayre will be held on Saturday 20th June 2015 from 9.00am until 4.00pm, the event will be held along Churchill Parade, which will be closed for the day, and the surrounding area.

A children’s funfair will be set up at the east end of the Churchill Parade and there will be spaces available for around forty charity stalls down the remainder of Churchill Parade. These stalls will be offered to charities that have supported us in the past at the Woodlands Recreation Ground. Letters of invitation will be sent out in March.

There will be street entertainers performing and we also hope to have a stage on Methodist Church lawn for local band and choir performances throughout the day.

The Rustington Princess and her attendants will be chosen from local primary schools students in there final year. They will attend the event and also the Littlehampton and East Preston Carnivals together with The Littlehampton Bonfire Parade.

More details, as they are finalized, will be available on the Littlehampton District Lions Club website and Facebook page. Alternatively you can contact David Bishop on 01903 726858 or Alan Kerry on 01903 784017.
