Personal Care Item Drive for Women Veterans

The Kenmore Lions Clubs will be collecting personal care items for our women veterans again this year, from November 1, 2023 thru the end of December 2023. Red collection bags will be located at the Brighton Eggert Pharmacy, Ivy Lea Pharmacy, Black Rock Pharmacy, Kenmore Youth Center, and Olympic Restaurant (on Sheridan Dr.).

The items will be delivered to the Helen G. Jacob Women’s Wellness Clinic at the Veterans Hospital in Buffalo, NY, during the coming holiday season. Items such as shampoo, soap, body wash, brushes/combs, toothbrushes/toothpaste, tissues, deodorant, and other personal care items are among the numerous items needed. A full list is attached to each red bag.

Gift cards would also be appreciated. (To maintain security, please mail gift cards to Kenmore Lions Club, P. O. Box 663, Kenmore, NY 14217.)

Eyeglass Collection

The Kenmore Lions, and all Lions Clubs, work to bring sight to as many people as possible. One of the ways we do this is through eyeglass collection boxes. Located at the sites listed below, used eyeglasses are collected and sent to a central processing facility. There the glasses are inspected, the prescription is measured, and the glasses are catalogued for world-wide distribution. You are helping people around the world regain their sight.
