We recognize that healthy, thriving communities depend on involved citizens, organizations and corporate partners for momentum. The mission of the Lions Club is to empower volunteers to serve their communities, meet humanitarian needs, encourage peace and promote international understanding. When it comes to meeting challenges, our response is simple: We serve. It’s something that unites Lions around the world, and it’s unconditional. Lions aren’t limited by continents or restricted to certain causes. We help wherever, whenever and however we can.

Giving Guidelines
These guidelines outline the programs that the Hutchinson Noon Lions Club is most motivated to support:
  • Vision/Sight
  • Youth / Childhood Development
  • Community
  • Environment

Lions Preferences
The Hutchinson Noon Lions Club Charitable Contributions program provides support to individuals and/or organizations that have a need that meets the organization’s mission and goals. We target our support to specific projects or programs that enhance quality of life for an individual and/or benefit the community in which we serve. We prefer to not financially support operating costs, capital campaigns, or multi-year requests. Preference is also given to individuals and/or organizations that serve our community. We review each request on a case by case basis and determine the best options i.e. financial support (i.e. direct financial contributions), group support (i.e. activities, fund raisers and/or volunteers). In instances where a request does not meet the mission and goals of the Lions Club but is viewed to be of great merit, the BOD will provide an announcement to club members. Members may choose to participate on an individual basis not representing the Lions Club.

Eligibility and Restrictions
The Hutchinson Noon Lions Club Charitable Contributions program does not fund:
  • Religious organizations regardless of faith, unless the project benefits the community, such as a soup kitchen that is housed in a church
  • Political candidates or lobbying organizations
  • Organizations with a limited constituency, such as fraternal, labor or veteran's groups
  • Endowments or foundations
  • Travel by groups or individuals
  • Anti-business groups
  • Organizations that discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, or gender
