2015 PROJECT HANDS FOR ALAN £60,000

                                ALAN'S STORY

We are raising money to get Alan bionic artificial limbs.  Alan lost his hands when he was three years old due to an infection he picked up while in hospital after having heart surgery.

Alan was born with a complex heart defect and at the age of three he had major open heart surgery, after the surgery he caught an infection and his little heart was working so hard to pump blood to his brain and lungs to keep him alive his body stopped pumping the blood to his hands, he lost all circulation to his fingers and unfortunately the doctors were unable to save them.

I am very lucky to still have my little fighter here with me today as we were told three times he would not make it through the night, he is now nine and his only dream is to be like every kid his age, to be independent to be able to dress himself, ride a bike with his friends and eat with a knife and fork.

I know with bionic hands he will be able to do all the things he wants to do and grow older with more confidence than ever before.

We need your help to achieve Alan’s goals in life.
