The Fort Jones Lions were chartered in May of 2001.  With a current active membership of 26, we serve the communities of Fort Jones and Scott Valley through a variety of projects.  One annual project is the adminstration and funding of the Fort Jones Christmas Parade, which is a major event in the community.  Pictured below is the 2012 Fort Jones Lions float.

The Fort Jones Lions is proud to assist individuals in the community through the Sight Conservation Program, which provides vision services to local children and adults.  We also serve the community in many other ways, some of which are:

Emergency firewood to households in immediate need

Senior meal deliveries in cooperation with Madrone Hospice Services

Scholarships to local students for continuing education

Student Speaker Contest

Support to local schools through the Lions Literacy Project

Flag placement on Main Street Fort Jones on appropriate days

Highway clean-up on State Highway 3 near Fort Jones

Community Easter Egg Hunt

Construction of playground at the local library
