Lions Club members are ordinary men and women who strive to make a difference in their local community as well as communities worldwide.

Their volunteer efforts go beyond the support of vision care, to addressing health and education needs that have not been met worldwide.

Why should I become a Lion?

As a Lions club member, you can:

  • Make a difference everyday in your community. Whether it is providing support locally or reaching out internationally, you will have an opportunity to serve.
  • Be a part of a worldwide organisation carrying out community and humanitarian projects.
  • Grow personally and professionally by participating in our programmes, community service projects and events.
  • Gain an understanding and have an impact on local and international humanitarian issues.
  • Develop relationships with both local and international community and business leaders where ever you work.
  • Assist people in small ways by letting them know a certain glasses frame suits them or assist by sorting food for the hungry.
  • Give to those who have no means to pay you back, yet fill your heart with pride on helping someone less fortunate.

We're led by people just like you who are talented, dedicated volunteer leaders from around the world.

Help us the most by contacting the Membership Director, attending a few meetings and possibly helping out at a fund-raiser/project. On deciding to join you will join more than 1.35 million members that get the job done and that make Lions International the world's largest service club organization. Please contact our membership director at : for further information.
