Meetings

Lions Club members are ordinary men and women who strive to make a difference
in their local community as well as communities worldwide.

Their volunteer efforts go beyond the support of vision care, to addressing health and education needs that have not been met worldwide.

Why should I become a Lion?
As a Lions club member, you can:

  • Make a difference every day in your community. Whether it is providing support locally or reaching out internationally, you will have an opportunity to serve.
  • Be a part of a worldwide organisation carrying out community and humanitarian projects.
  • Grow personally and professionally by participating in our programmes, community service projects, and events.
  • Gain an understanding and have an impact on local and international humanitarian issues.
  • Develop relationships with both local and international community and business leaders wherever you work.
  • Assist people in small ways by letting them know a certain spectacle frame suits them or assist by sorting food for the hungry.
  • Give to those who have no means to pay you back, yet fill your heart with pride on helping someone less fortunate.

We are led by people just like you who are talented, dedicated volunteer leaders from around the world.
If you are interested in joining the Lions Club of Fish Hoek Simonsbay, please contact the Membership chairperson, come and attend a few meetings and help out at a fundraiser or project.

You could be joining more than 1.4 million members in over 48 000 clubs around the world who are dedicated to making a difference by being part of Lions International, the world’s largest service club organisation. Through your membership, you could help our club reach out to people in need in our community and throughout the world.

Please contact our Membership chairperson at the club for further information.
