August 26, 2015: Dinner meeting at Kauffman's BBQ. Members and guests enjoyed our annual trek to Kauffman's BBQ in Bethel, PA.

July 28, 2015: Dinner meeting. East Hanover Lions welcome a new Lion! Micheal Kinney (sponsor Brian Kiscadden) was inducted by our new District Governor Salli Miller.
Guests included the 2015 Jonas J. Walmer Service Scholarship winners and their families. Our speaker was Jerry Mitchell from the Attorney General's office who provided valuable information regarding several common frauds and scams.

July 22 - 25 2015: Grantville Volunteer Fire Company Carnival. Our club ran the Bingo pavi"lion" and other games of chance to benefit the fire company.

June 25, 2015: East Hanover Lions Club annual picnic. The East Hanover Lions Club bid "ALOHA" and congratulations to the elementary students of the fourth marking period and their families at their annual picnic held on Thursday June 25. Although rain forced the picnic indoors, the mood was festive. This year's picnic had an Hawaiian theme in honor of the Lions Club International Convention held this year in Honolulu. Members and guests donned leis and Hawaiian shirts and were entertained by the magic of new member Jim Millhouse. Guests included several non-members who help the club with service activities. Outgoing President, Eileen Longreen, was surprised with a cake celebrating the many accomplishments of her term. She presented the club with a District 14-T certificate for the most new members in 2014-15.

April 10, 2015: Bowl-a-Thon for Diabetes. The club enjoyed an evening at the Palmyra Lanes and donated funds for diabetes awareness.

March 28, 2015: East Hanover Township Breakfast with the Easter Bunny. Eleven members helped serve pancakes, eggs, bacon and sausage to 140 township residents at this fun event.
March 26, 2015: 64th Charter Night. Fifty three members and guests celebrated at the American Legion in Linglestown. Headed by 1st VDG Sallie Miller, the guest list included widows of passed club members, non member "helpers" who assist us in fulfilling our motto - "We Serve", and potential members. Everyone enjoyed a buffet dinner, musical entertainment by Mike Cochran and door prizes. King Lion Eileen Longreen awarded President's Appreciation Awards to Lions Weez Walmer and Shirley Huber. Lion Kermit Katzaman was named Lion of the Year.
March 21, 2015: Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Members of the East Hanover Lions club were among the volunteers who did a "clean sweep" of Wreaths Across America wreaths and other seasonal decorations placed in December. Many hands made light work - the entire cemetery was cleared in 1 hour 15 minutes !

March 15, 2015: Central PA Callers Association Dance. The square dancers were back! Club members provided food for sale and even a dancer to fill in a square.

February 24, 2015: Dinner Meeting - a full agenda and then some! Past District Governor, Lion Pete Van Zandt inducted six new members into our club: Lions Paul and Mary Kasper sponsored by Lion Dixie Grubb, Lions James and Wilma Millhouse sponsored by Lion Ronald Gumpher, and Lions Richard and Nora Wenner sponsored by Lion Shirley Huber. Welcome Lions!

PDG Van Zandt pulled "double duty" as the evening's speaker. His topic was Leader Dogs for the Blind and their new kennel capital campaign.
Luke Dresch, attending with his parents, was introduced as the elementary student of the first marking period from Lebanon county. Luke was unable to attend our January meeting.
King Lion Eileen Longreen announced that the East Hanover Lions had earned the Club Excellence Award for 2013 - 2014.
She also presented Lion Crist Espenshade with his 55 year chevron. Way to go Lion Crist!
Jan 31, 2015: East Hanover Township Indoor Yard Sale. The Lions manned their popular food sales table during the recent township event. New this year, we purchased our own yard sale tables and filled them with items donated by club members. Business was brisk and we earned a nice profit which will help fund our various service projects.

Jan. 27, 2015: Dinner meeting. Our meeting room was filled to capacity with prospective members and guests! Elementary students of the second marking period Tessa Barber (Dauphin county) and Tugger Dresch (Lebanon county) were awarded their prizes as their families looked on. Student of the first marking period Raeigh Allison (Dauphin county) and her family were also in attendance. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed our program: Lion Weez's daughter and son in law , Jodie & Dale Diffenbach, gave a video presentation of their recent trip to Africa.

Dec. 6, 2014: Christmas Show at American Music Theater. Members, family and friends enjoyed the spirit of the season at the 2014 Christmas Show - "Joy to the World". Many also met at the Linden Diner for a post show feast!
Nov. 13, 2014: District Governor's Annual Visitation. The East Hanover Lions joined with West Hanover and Penbrook Lions clubs and Penbrook Leos to welcome District Governor Elizabeth Moffatt at the Penbrook Community Center. A Thanksgiving themed stuffed chicken buffet was enjoyed by all. DG Moffatt inducted our newest member, Brian Kiscadden. And East Hanover reclaimed the District 14-T Traveling Bell from the Penbrook club.

Sept. 23, 2014: Dinner Meeting Our speaker was Mr. Saul Elertas of the Penn State Hershey Medical Center Life Lion Team.
Sept. 21,2014: East Hanover Township Community Park Day The Lions sold food inside the building for the Central PA Callers Dance and the public, while in the park our pony & horse rides were a big hit.

.The East Hanover Lions Club was chartered in 1951. Recently, the original charter document was found along with a listing of the charter members and their occupations.
