KidSight
KidSight Vision Screenings
This was the first year of KidSight vision screenings using the new screener and was well received by the 9R personnel. The screener was very 'user friendly', thus easy to operate. At the present time we're sharing the use of the screener with the Bayfield Lions Club. This is working out very well as we're able to coordinate the use of the screener. The following Lions and Spouses passed the 9R security check and participated in the screenings: Dan & Susie Ammann, Gary Jennings, Carol & Jim Lewin, Jan Newlin, Rich Pene, Mary & Tom Richards, and Eliane & John Viner.
In addition to the 9R screenings, Mary Richards worked with Sue Ann and Ken Geherty of the Bayfield Lions in a screening at the Kids Fair which was held this April in conjunction with the Week of the Young Child. We screened 21 kids and found 2 needing referral to an eye professional.
I feel this was a very successful project and look forward to expanding our locations next fall.
