Join the Lions and have fun helping others

We meet at the Chester Regiment Club, Chester Castle twice monthly. There is a business meeting at 7.30pm on the fourth Tuesday in the month and a meeting of club groups on the first Tuesday of the month.

The Community Service Group considers requests for help from local organisations and individuals and decides what help to recommend to the main club Business meeting on the fourth Tuesday of the month.

The Fund Raising Group decides what events to organise to raise funds to provide that help. Currently regular events include Fireworks display at Chester Racecourse on 5th Nov weekend,  a Clay Pigeon Shoot in August. Father Christmas in December, Ladies Driving Challenge, Musical Extravaganza etc New ideas will always be welcome.

The Social Group organise events for our own amusement, lunches, dinners, treasure hunts, speakers evenings etc. Membership is by invitation.

Last year the 55 clubs in Lions North West District clubbed together to convert a single decker bus into a mobile surgical unit as a gift to Uganda Lions so that the Kampala Lions can organise eye camps in the countryside. This propject is complete, the bus was delieverd to Kampala Lions last April and is now operating successfully.

This year some club members interested in gardening are developing a kitchen garden at Cotton Hall Farm  to provide produce for the residents and for sale to assist the charity Save the Family.
