To help members understand club dues we have created a page that explains payment periods, memership types, and membership dues.

INDUCTION FEE

Firstly every person who wants to become a member of the Beacon Community Lions Club must pay $30.00 in order to become a member. No person can become a member without paying the initial $30.00 fee.

A "LIONS YEAR" AND MEMBERSHIP DUES

A "Lions Year" is not the same as a conventional calendar year. In a conventional calendar year a year is from January - December. In a "Lions Year" a year is from July - June.

Due to the "Lions Year" period, and because the Beacon Community Lions Club was chartered in March, we have to make membership payments for the months of April, May, and June. These were the last three months of a "Lions Year," and the cost of these three months was $21.00.

April, May, and June of 2015 - $21.00

After these first three months a new "Lions Year" began. This new "Lions Year" is from July 2015 to June of 2016. The membership dues for a full "Lions Year" is $84.00. That means the membership dues for half a year, July 2015 - December 2016 (6 months), would be $42.00.

Full Year - $84.00

Half Year - $42.00

These are how Lions Club membership dues are calculated.

MEMBERSHIP TYPES

Aside from payment periods members have different membership "types." For example, Family Members, Regular Members, and Student Members are three of a number of membership types the Lions Club has.

Categories can give members discounts on certain club membership payments or the induction fee. For example, Veteran members are waived of the initial $30 introductory fee that members have to pay to become members of the Beacon Community Lions Club. Family members pay half the membership dues ($42.00 yearly) that Regular members pay ($84.00 yearly).
