Welcome to Worle Lions Club. 2022

Lions Clubs International was founded in Evansville, Indiana, on 24 October 1916 by William Perry Woods. It subsequently evolved as an international service organization under the guidance and supervision of its secretary, Melvin Jones.

We have regular Knit and Natter meetings every fortnight at:

The Lamb Inn in Worle - High Street.

We were asked for blankets for new born babies.

This was not just Lion members, this was ordinary people from the public that answered our call for help.

They turned out as usual to support another Worle Lions project

We are most grateful to the public for supporting your Local Lions Club.

Worle High Street has several stone planters like the one in the picture. They are positioned on both sides of a busy road, Seen by many passers by. Yesterday a few of our members got together to replace the dead and brown plants. A few planters had small but dead trees where the roots had grown to the shape of the planters. They were difficult to remove but we had to do it as there was no room for our plants. They are now fully planted with more colourful Winter pansies and alike. We also had a clear up around the planters. The Lions logo is now proudly displayed.

Thank you to Banwell Garden Centre for supplying the plants and compost.‚Äč smiley
