Meetings

Congratulations to Lion Dave Splitek, our new District 2-A2 District Governor!

A message from our Club President:

Our daily lives have changed quite a bit recently.  Lions Clubs International is actively working with local clubs around the world and monitoring the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, which is changing the way we live, work and serve.  These strange times have caused many events to be cancelled or postponed.  Let’s check in on family, friends and neighbors, putting our kindness in action while keeping health and safety in mind. Stay safe and take care of each other.

LCI has set up a response center as our central source for news and resources impacting Lions and our efforts to serve the world during this difficult time. Lions have served for more than one hundred years. We have been there for our communities during countless challenges to the world, and now more than ever, it is important that we stand together as local communities, as a global community, and as Lions.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to your local Lions Club if you find yourself in need.

The Windcrest Lions are an important part of our community.

We provide dictionaries to local 3rd graders, school supplies to area elementary school teachers, feed the local homeless, sponsor the Roosevelt High LEO club, and build personal energy transports (PET) that get sent to the needy throughout the world to just to name a few of the major highlights beyond supporting the Lions well known support for eye health and the Texas Lions Camp for medically challenged kids.

We do this through our fundraisers, but especially with the efforts of our members.

Membership is vital to organizations such as ours.

If you have time and energy to put into a charitable organization, we want and need you!

Texas Lions Camp

Unfortunately the Texas Lions Camp will not check in kids this summer for residential camping activities. Some other things are in the works, but no campers this year. 🙁

Here is a link to the announcement on YouTube from TLC President and CEO Stephen Mabry:

If you have a child or grandchild who might benefit from attending camp, please look at the website www.lionscamp.com or on Facebook at Texas Lions Camp. We full expect that next summer the camp will return to normal activities.
