WEST  HILL - HIGLAND CREEK (014791)

The West Hill - Highland Creek Lions Club was chartered on November 3, 1944 and it has been active member in the Scarborouogh community ever since.  

History was made around the world when in 1987 the once all male club now allowed women into the organization. The West Hill-Highland Creek Lions Club was the very first club in Toronto to induct women and the fourth in all of Ontario. Year 2019 will be remembered in Lionism around the world as the year Lions welcome the first woman LCI Presidnet Gudrun Bjort   Yngvadottir.   Her awards in recognition of her services include the Kjarans Medal from the Icelandic Lions, the Lions Crystal from the Norwegian Lions, 11 International President’s Awards and the Ambassador of Goodwill Award (the highest LCI honour).
