WE ARE LIONS - WE MAKE A DIFFERENCE
WE SERVE - Everyday, Everywhere
Westmont Lions Club
Westmont, Illinois
Chartered on January 8, 1936, the Westmont Lions Club is the oldest and one of the most dedicated service organizations in the Village of Westmont.
Over the past 75+ years, the Westmont Lions Club has risen to Helen Keller's challenge to become the ``knights of the blind'' by soliciting referrals from schools, medical facilities and community centers to send children and adults, who need assistance, but cannot afford the cost for eye exams, eye glasses and hearing aids. Each year we have helped 50 or more to see and hear better.
Since the 1970’s we have awarded two 5th grade students (1 boy and 1 girl) from a Westmont School. Students are selected not because they get the best grades, but because they are the best student and classmate.
Each year we hold a Scholarship Dinner Night and award monetary scholarships to Westmont Seniors, who attend a local high school in the Westmont area.
We have fun with pancake breakfasts, ice cream socials, parades, barbeques, carnivals and much more!
Feel free to peruse through our website pages, to view our many service activities, projects and fundraisers we conduct throughout the year. If you or your friends or families would like to know more about us feel free to contact us. Maybe you just want to know more of what we do for our community or what Lions throughout the world do. Come join us!
We are proud to say that we have become a pillar of service to the Village of Westmont. We welcome new members!
Lions Clubs International is the world's largest service club organization with more than 1.4 million members in approximately 46,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas around the world.
