On the Move...
On Saturday morning March 6 the West Goshen DCR (Display Case Removal) Team removed and boxed all items from our display case at the West Chester Quality Inn. They will be stored, cataloged and cleaned in preparation for our 50th Anniversary Charter Night in July, The very large display case was a project many years ago of former President and recently deceased member Carl F. Lorenz, II. The DCR Team moved quickly and loaded the unit on top of Lion Gary's red pickup. It was so wide that Lion Gary had pre-constructed supports for the move. While the team of movers hopped in their vehicles and headed north on Rt, 202; Lion Gary slowly navigated the streets of West Chester to his destination, the West Goshen Township Building. West Goshen Supervisor and Lion Hugh Purnell met the team and Lion Gary at the Township Building. Then came the hard part, moving the case to the second floor (We knew it was to big for the elevator). We got stuck between the first floor and the first landing. With the team members holding on to the case at the top of the first landing, Lion Gary carefully removed about 30 screws and one of the doors. The rest was rather easy. Special thanks to Lion Walt for running a series of needed errands to help us finish.
NOTE: The West Goshen Lions Club has donated the display case to West Goshen Township. We plan to display our mementos there during our Charter Year and ending in 2022. At a future time the Township will use the display case for assorted displays and exhibits,
SPECIAL THANKS TO THE DCR TEAM:

2020 Fruit Sale Update
The West Goshen Lions held their annual fruit sale this past December. Besides raising money to benefit Lion chariites we also raised additional donations for the West Chester Food Cupboard. A total of $1,400 was raised by club members to present to the food bank. This donation was matched with another $1,400 from the PA Lions foundation for a total of $2,800 being donated to the food cupboard.
