Wellington District Lions Club
11th Annual Dragon Boat Festival August 12, 2017
The Dragon Boat Festival is the major fund raising activity of the Wellington District Lions Club. Funds raised by the festival are used by the Lions Club to support many groups and individuals in our community and around the world. Almost Home, The Storehouse Food Bank, Pumpkinfest, Hospice Prince Edward, individuals needing assistance and youth programs have been recipients of funds this past year. In addition we support the initiatives of Lions Clubs International.
We would like to thank the supporters of our festival. Everyone listed has sponsored a race heat for $50 or a race final for $100 or a general sponsorship for an “in kind” donation. Sponsors are recognized and promoted throughout the day by our announcers and also on a large list of sponsors posted at the festival. In addition, all supporters are recognized following the festival by publishing the names in the local newspapers.
