Our March 11th meeting is being held at the Waynesboro Country Club beginning at 6:00 p.m. 

Our program will be presented by Mr. Eric S. Haskins, Founder/President, of Central PA Honor Flight. This organization provides veterans from Adams, Frankling, Fulton, Huntingdon, Perry and Cumberland Counties an opportunity to visit their memorials in Washington, DC at no charge to the veterans. Invite your friends to attend this very interesting & informative presentation. We are hopeful for maximum attendance from our members.

At our February Board meeting, the board voted to hold a fundraiser in conjunction with the Waynesboro Pizza Hut. This will occur on April 14 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. for the dine-in only buffet. For every certificate turned into the cashier, we will receive 25% of the total cost. We will need individuals to “man” the doors to give patrons certificates that evening.

We will be participating in the Indoor Farmers Market sponsored by Mainstreet Waynesboro on March 7 and 21. We will be selling our famous brooms, the 10 Days of April Shower of Cash 2026 lottery chances and providing Pizza Hut fundraising certificates. If you are willing to assist, please speak to Lion Dan at our meeting.

At our February 18th board meeting, the board agreed to the following disbursement of funds: Board discretionary funds $500.00 to Central PA Honor Flight in memory of PDG Lion Lee Eisenhard. Additionally, Lion Dan paid disbursed budgeted line items in the amount of $500.00 each to the Lunch Place and Five Forks Food Pantry.

We will have another “Who is this Lion” contest this month. Lion Sherry Newcomer was last month’s “Who is this Lion” and we had several Lions correctly identify her. Lion Chuck is winning the competition with six wins, Lions Jim Eles, Dave McCarney, Sherry Newcomer and Karey Singley have three wins and Lions Sandy Eisenhard and Matt Stewart have two wins and Lions Ruth Angleand Dan Harper have one win.
