Our November 12th meeting is being held at the Waynesboro Country Club beginning at 6:00 pm. We will have DG Bard Dudek as our guest speaker, celebrating our 96th Charter Night and inducting our new member Mr. David Gossard who is sponsored by Lion Dave McCarney. DG Barb’s cabinet and several members of the WALL club will be attending as well.

We will have another “Who is this Lion” contest this month. Lion Sandy Eisenhard was last month’s “Who is this Lion” and we had four Lions correctly identify him. Congratulations to Lions Jim Eles, Karey Singley, Matt Stewart and Chuck Vickery on their wins. They are all “in the running” for their next Lion year first quarter dues to be paid.

The Tree Lighting Ceremony is November 21st in Center Square. We need volunteers to prepare and serve hot chocolate. Lion Chuck Vickery and hopefully Lion Denny will be coordinating this event.

Waynesboro Human & Community Services has provided us with two children to sponsor for Christmas presents. The listing has been distributed to the membership and a clipboard will be passed at the November meeting. All gifts are to be wrapped and returned to me not later than the December 10 club meeting. Please designate whether you are sponsoring the little girl or boy.

The board decided to have a “10 Day April Showers of Cash” Cash Bash. The tickets are $10.00 apiece. Each ticket has 4 lottery numbers and if the number is drawn on the daily evening number, the cash prizes are $200.00 for April 6th and 15th and $100.00 for April 7th through 14th. We are asking members to sell the tickets as we only have 250 to sale. The tickets would male excellent stocking stuffers! I am the point of contact for tickets and collection of funds.

As we all know, we have lost a very valuable member and leader of our club. PDG Lee Eisenhard valiantly fought his illness for several years. We will miss his leadership and guidance. Please keep Lion Sandy, their daughters and extended family in your prayers.
