Waterdown Lions are sponsoring a Pet Valu Walk for Dog Guides at Joe Sams Leisure Park Centre Road and Concession 5 Waterdown on Sunday May 26th. Registration opens at 11am at the Lions Pavilion. The walk starts at 12 noon along the Waterdown Wetland Trail to Alexander Place and back.
By participating in the Pet Valu Walk for Dog Guides, you ensure that the Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides can continue fulfilling our mission of empowering Canadians with disabilities to navigate their world with confidence and independence. We provide Dog Guides at no cost to them and support each pair in their journey together. With the support of our title sponsor, Pet Valu, volunteer walk organizers, participants, and supporters across Canada, all proceeds from the walk go towards our seven Dog Guide programs: Hearing, Canine Vision, Seizure Response, Service, Diabetes Alert, Autism Assistance, and Facility Support.
