Welcome to the Rossmoor Lions Club!
The main focus of the Lions Club is to provide support to the hearing and sight impaired. The Rossmoor Lions Club is committed to supporting our Rossmoor community and a variety of charities locally and internationally. The Rossmoor Lions Club was started in 1966 and currently averages 43 members.
Join us! Whether you were a Lion elsewhere or if you want to join for the first time, we welcome and encourage you to become involved with the Rossmoor Lions Club. We are here to enhance the lives of others, support our community, enjoy the camaraderie of our group, and make new friends. You are welcome to attend any of our meetings.
A good way to get to know our club is to attend our eyeglass sorting events held every quarter. It's a fun and casual event. The packed eyeglasses are taken to prisons where prisoners use a lensometer to recycle the glasses. Afterwards, the glasses are stored in a Lions collection center in Vallejo. The glasses are then distributed in the U.S. or Latin and Asian countries where Lions optometrists perform free eye exams and glass fittings for people who cannot afford eye care.
