The Wadena District Fire Dept unveiled their new trailer dedicated to refueling and assisting the STARS Helicopters when they come to the area. The basic trailer was reinforced and modified to fit the needs of the Fire Department and STARS by Lion Don Auchstaetter and Brian Weber (of the Wadena Fire Dept). Lions Bernie Rutko, Mary Ann Rutko & Don Tait also made contributions to the trailer.
Our presentation to the Wadena District Fire Dept for the purchase of Turbo Flares (special LED Lights), pylons for marking accident sites and the STARS Helicopter landing sites. The flares are visible for a long distance from the sky and aid in guiding the helicopter to a landing.
