Our motto is "We Serve"
Vian, Oklahoma is the gateway to the Lake Tenkiller recreation area and the Sequoyah National Wildlife Refuge and is located in Eastern Oklahoma, in the foothills of the Ozark Mountains. Some club members reside within the town but most of us are part of the greater, metropolitan area. The town is the hub and, like many small and rural areas, some needs of the area's children are met and have been met by the Vian Lions Club, now in its 33rd year.
We are community-minded "do-ers" who want to be part of the solution AND to have a great time with like minded happy people who feel the need to step in - WE SERVE is indeed our motto. Come join us. Call any of us for further information.
Re-Cycle for Sight: On-going Eyeglass collections. "Re-Cycle for Sight" boxes are located at Armstrong Bank, the Town Hall, Vian Pharmacy, and the Vian Eye Clinic. Thank you in advance for your donation of used eyeglasses, sunglasses and reading glasses. Your donation is a small effort for you but a huge gift to many people in poverty areas of the world.
Tamale Fundraiser
Vian Lions Club members are taking orders for chicken, beef and/or pork tamales, five ounces each, pre-cooked, individually packaged, frozen, and ready to heat. At $20.00 per dozen, this is a great item to stock in your freezer for last minute menu options. Tamales can be purchased individually for $2.00 each. The club is raising funds to support ongoing service projects for the greater Vian community.
Lions Clubs International is the world's largest service club organization with more than 1.4 million members in approximately 46,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas around the world.
