Celebrating Young Artists & a Vision of Peace!
Congratulations to our winners James, Naya, and Grace!
At our January 25th meeting, the Tuckahoe-Eastchester Lions Club proudly hosted this year’s Peace Poster Contest Awards Ceremony at the Wicked Wolf Restaurant.
For over 30 years, Lions Clubs worldwide have sponsored this inspiring art contest, giving young people (ages 11-13) the chance to express their vision of peace through art.

This year, we honored three incredibly talented young artists whose interpretations of “Peace Without Limits” earned them 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in our club’s contest. One of these talented artists even took home first prize in the district-wide competition among 35 Westchester Lions Clubs!

Special Thanks To:
Art teacher Phyllis Nastasio & Principal Tracy Keelin from Immaculate Heart of Mary for their partnership in making this event possible.

Our Peace Poster Committee –  Chairperson Joe Sciame, Jill Zimmerman, and David Zimmerman.

Thanks to Tuckahoe Mayor Omayra Andino & Eastchester Town Board Member Luigi Marcoccia for their time and support as guest presenters.

We believe that amazing things happen at the intersection of education and community! We’re looking to expand this contest to more middle schools next year and would love to partner with art teachers and schools in the community. If you’re interested in bringing this opportunity to your students, let’s connect!
