Town of Sheboygan Lions Club Scholarships

  • Three scholarships will be awarded to applicants enrolled in a program leading to a 2 or 4-year degree at an accredited traditional university.  Applicants must be a resident of the Town of Sheboygan.
  • One scholarship will be awarded to applicants enrolled in a program at an accredited trade/technical college. Preference will be given to Town of Sheboygan residents. Non-traditional students are encouraged to apply for the Art Schnell Scholarship.
  • The applicant must be enrolled in a program leading to a 2 or 4-year degree.
  • The applicant will be required to return all parts of the application by MARCH 22, 2024

 

    A completed application will include all of the following:

    _______  Narrative (on a separate sheet of paper in 12 pt. font double spaced- please limit to 1000 words or less.)  

The mission statement of Lions Club International is "To empower volunteers to serve their communities, meet humanitarian needs, encourage peace and promote international understanding through Lions clubs". 

This mission statement is embodied by the phrase "We Serve". How have you demonstrated the philosophy of Lionism, and how do you intend to carry the mission “We Serve” in the future?

The Town of Sheboygan Lions Club Scholarship Committee will make the final selection, with approval of the club.

Four $1000 scholarships will be awarded.

  • 3 will be dedicated for applicants enrolled in an accredited 2 or 4-year traditional university
  • 1 will be dedicated for an applicant enrolled in an accredited trade/technical college

A representative of the Town of Sheboygan Lions Club will announce the recipient at the schools annual scholarship program if requested.

 

Method of Payment

  • The scholarship will be paid directly to the student.
  • The payment will be made after proof of registration and enrollment has been sent to the Town of Sheboygan Lions Club.
