Welcome
to the web site of the
Lions Club of Tiverton & District
The Club was formed in 1974 and has since become of mixed mebership. As a club we organise various fund raising events throughout the year including a book sale, Easter egg draw, Father Christmas and attanding special events such as Bampton Fair.
For the members we endeavour to organise a social event once a month that could be a meal, an historic town walk (followed by a cream tea) playing boule or the theatre.
Running costs of the Club like those of all other Lions Clubs are met by a small subscription paid by the members and draws during meetings so that all monies raised from the public are used for charitable purposes.
Some of the help we have given includes to
Children's Hospice South West
Lupus
Shopmobility
Providing specialist wheel chairs
Eye Camps (relief from Glaucoma)
etc., etc.
If you think that this could interest you, why not contact our secretary on 0845 833 2801 and come along to a meeting or event and test the water? You will find us open and friendly.
Lions Clubs International is the world's largest service club organization with more than 1.4 million members in approximately 46,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas around the world.
