Thistletown New Era Lions Club is the newest, fastest growing Lions Club in Ontario, maybe even in Canada.
We are the newest chartered club by Lions International with our Charter date originally registered August 30, 2020 as a Branch Club of Thistletown Lions.
Due to the drive and enthusiasm of our President Lion Andrea Saul, the club grew very fast and it got very involved in the community through food donation events. The club moved very quickly from branch to a large club and became an independent Lions Club with a name changed from Branch Club to Club. To be know as THISTLETOWN NEW ERA LIONS CLUB.
New Era is one of the first fully virtual Lions clubs with meetings twice a week via Zoom. The club has one of the highest member participation rate in Ontario with 25 to 35 members active online at any one meeting.
