Location

Over 500 metres above sea level, with views to Brisbane, the Pacific Ocean, and Mount Warning, is Tamborine Mountain, a volcanic plateau, 30 kilometres inland from the beaches of the Gold Coast. We live in the green - behind the gold!

Even in wet weather our mountain is a special place, often shrouded by mist, as the clouds meet the treetops. Tamborine Mountain boasts nine national parks which offer a variety of walks through subtropical rainforests, home to a multitude of wildlife, including lyrebirds, lorikeets, wallabies, platypus and the mountain's famous scrub turkeys.

Accessible from the Pacific Highway at Beenleigh, Oxenford, and Nerang, and via scenic hinterland routes at Beaudesert and Canungra in the west, five tar-sealed roads lead to a world of national parks, breathtaking scenery by day and the lights of the Gold Coast spread out in glittering array by night.

The National Parks have facilities for picnics and barbecues, or you can enjoy one of the many cafes or restaurants which offer both indoor and outdoor dining. Some with magnificent views of the Tamborine Mountain's surrounds. With many well-known artists and crafts people living on the mountain there are shops, galleries, gardens and craft studios with something different for every taste and interest.
