Surrey Border Lions

Since 1980 Surrey Border Lions have organised events in order to raise money for good causes in our three Villages of Bagshot, Lightwater and Windlesham. Surrey Border Lions acts locally just like the hundreds of other clubs in Britain and overseas.

Surrey Border Lions raise on average, £8,000 per year: the vast majority of this is spent within our Villages. The rest goes to support projects sponsored by Lions Clubs International. The money that we use for administration comes from a small membership subscription.

Since 1917, Lions clubs have offered people the opportunity to give something back to their community, involving members in projects like cleaning up a local area or bringing sight to the world's blind, Lions clubs have always embraced those committed to building a brighter future for their community.

At present, with more than 47,000 clubs in over 200 countries and geographical areas, Lions have expanded their focus to help meet the ever-increasing needs of our global community.

Our programmes are continually changing to meet new needs and greater demands, but our mission has never wavered: "We Serve."

Lions club members are men and women who strive to make a difference in their local community as well as communities worldwide. Their volunteer efforts address otherwise unmet health and education needs worldwide.
