Interested in St. Helens Lions Club?

Lions Club offers a volunteer opportunity that fits your lifestyle. Whether you are looking to lend a helping hand or pursue a leadership role, Lions has an option for you.

Being a Lion allows you to change lives and commit as much time as you wish and as your schedule allows. As a Lion you will help your community, make and impact on people's lives, learn to be a leader, network with people in your community, and have fun!

Who Are Lions?

Founded in 1917, Lions Club are best known for fighting blindness. Helen Kellar challenged us to be the Knights of the Blind and that commitment has been at the center of our local, statewide and international service ever since.

The St. Helens Lions Club was chartered on October 10, 1955 and has been serving the St. Helens community and other parts of south Columbia County since then. We currently have 27 members, with one of our members serving 50 years of continuous membership and active participation in our Club.

Our motto is "WE SERVE", and the St. Helens Lions take that charge seriously. In addition to providing vision and hearing checks, exams, and equipment in our community, as well as supporting the Oregon Lions Sight and Hearing Foundation and our Internation Foundation, we engage in many local projects that support our youth and the community as a whole.

We also believe in the value of friendship and fun. If you are service-minded and looking for a means of getting involved in the St. Helens community, we would welcome you to join us at a future meeting. We meet on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of every month at 6:30pm at the Warren Country Inn.

Lions Clubs International is the world's largest service club organization with more than 1.4 million members in approximately 46,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas around the world.
