Pictured with Lioness Lion Nancy Fantene is a stand-in for Mali, the Leader Dog puppy our club adopted.
Mali, a female Labrador retreiver, is confident, lovable and watchful.
Her favorite toy is KONG Wobbler.
Her Zodiac sign is Gemini.
Mali is growing up in Michigan.
Mali's Michigan family likes to spend time together on their boat, which is a Malibu. Mali was suggested as a good name for their first Leader Dog puppy. Afer further research, they found out Mali is a name with Latin origin that means industrious or hardworking. They hope it is a good omen.
Mali's puppy raiser works full-time (from home for now), but there's no shortage of attention for Mali. A typical day starts around 6:30 am with a potty break, breakfast and a sniffy walk. then Mali sleeps or entertains herself with a peanut butter Kong. Lunch is served in a puzzle toy, then a short walk and back to work. Mali usually gets another walk or two, some training and then dinner before reflaxing in her crate.
Since Mali's puppy raiser lives in an apartment, she takes Mali out on a long leash to run or play. Mali also gets to visit the family dog nearby in a fenced-in-yard where they can run, play and punce freely. Mali could spend all day lying in the grass chewing on a stick and loves sniffing everything on her walks.
Goofy and chill descirbe Mali best. She lays in a "sploot" (back legs straight out) or full "Superman" (front paws and back legs straight out)-especially on tile or hard wood floors when she's hot. She loves belly rubs. She'll roll right onto her back and then run in the air, sometimes sliding around by pushing herself off the walls or holding onto your hand with her front paws.
Mali is a go-with-the-flow kind of girl. She's been to Target, Home Depot, Meijer, Panera, UPS, an indoor market and an outdoor concert with swing dancing. She even went on a weekened getaway to northern Michigan.
Besides going to her regular pupy class, Mali's puppy raiser likes to take her to a city bench in a busy area to practic settling as the world passes by.
