This is a Maine district competition between Lion's clubs with all the benefits going to our local food cupboards and pantries.

We need your help!!! We are collecting non-perishable items now until the end of January.

What kind of soup items you ask? Canned or boxed soups. instant soups (ramen style, dehydrated soup mixes), canned chili, and chowders or stews.

Where you ask? Drop off your donation at the Community Regional Charter School, 78 Water Street Skowhegan, ME from 8AM to 4PM

Current Meetings

Because of the pandemic, we are meeting using video conferencing with the Zoom software. Meetings are at 6PM every third Monday of the month. If you would like to attend the meeting, you can contact Jared Perkins for a link.

Peace Poster Contest

Our club participates in the Peace Poster Contest each year. The contest is open to children ages 11 - 13. Each year, there is a different theme. For example, "Kidness Matters", "The future of peace", and "A celebration of peace" were the last few themes. Posters that are submitted are judged at many levels from the local club to international.

Speakout Contest

Our club also hosts a Speak Out contest. High School students in our area may participate. At the contest, contestants make a speech about any topic that interests them, and must do so within 4 to 6 minutes. The first place winner progresses to a regional level, and the winner of that level may continue to the district contest.
