The Sheridan Drive Lions Club has been serving the Town of Tonawanda for over 60 years. With 42 charter members, the club was launched on November 14, 1952, During the ensuing years, club members have consistently lived up to the Lions motto: “We serve”. Whether providing support for individuals afflicted with blindness or hearing loss, funding local service organizations, or offering college scholarships for young adults facing hardship, we are dedicated to actively serving our community.
We are proud to call ourselves Lions. As part of Lions Clubs International, the world’s largest service club organization, we provide local impact while having the opportunity to learn how to enhance that impact from 45,000 clubs and 1.35 million members distributed in more than 200 countries and geographic areas.
Lions have a dynamic history. Founded in 1917, we are best known for fighting blindness, but we also volunteer for many different kinds of community projects - including caring for the environment, feeding the hungry and aiding seniors and the disabled. The Sheridan Drive Lions Club has embraced that diversity in our choice of projects and charitable endeavors.
We appreciate the support our fundraising efforts receive from those that live in the Town of Tonawanda and surrounding area. We look forward to meeting you at one of our events.
