The Lions Club Friendship Arch was designed by Past International Directors Howard Grimm and Vern Frances. The first Friendship Arch was erected in 1966 on the U.S.-Canada border by Abbotsford Lions Club of British Columbia, Canada and Sumas Lions Club of Washington.Since then,hundreds have been placed within towns and cities around the world. The arch stands as a symbol of friendship and commitment between the Lions club and their community.Our club was chartered in 1951 and we have committed ourselves in serving our community in friendship and helping our community with many projects and needs.
