Our principles involve thinking of others first, and acting to benefit the public interest.

Please take a look around our website to get a flavour of all the things we get up to!

Sevenoaks Lions with Lions Club International are actively working around the world and monitoring the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, which is changing the way we live, work and serve.
Sadly we have had to cancel our fund raising events so far this Summer. Unfortunately this also includes our biggest fundraisier, the annual Heavy Horse and Rural Craft Show. Our President has written a letter to our Supporters concerning this tough decision.
If you are able to donate money or are in need of financial help please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Where there’s a need, there’s a Lion. Lions Clubs International is the largest service club organisation in the world.

Our 1.4 million members perform valuable service in 210 countries and geographic areas around the globe.

Lions are friends, family and neighbours who share a core belief: Community is what we make it. Our motto is 'We serve'.

Message from the President

"Welcome to the Lions Club of Sevenoaks website. This we hope will give you an insight into what we try to achieve with our fund-raising programme.

We are a Charitable Incorporated Organisation and part of the International Lions Club community.

Our membership has all sorts of people from all walks of life with the aim of helping people in our area who are less fortunate than ourselves with health, mobility issues and financial limitations.

We have several fund-raising events during the year which is our only form of income. We spend every penny we raise. The annual events we organise include a Golf Day, Beer on the Vine, the Heavy Horse Show and lots more! We are also involved with the Roundtable's Fireworks Night at Sevenoaks School.

We are a good mix and enjoy each other’s company to the extent that we have a good social life as well as working to raise our finances. We have a business meeting for members on the 4th Wednesday each month.

Although we have a membership of around 33, a mix of men and women, we would still like to attract new members to carry out this worthwhile work. So please, if you feel you would like to help us, get in contact (see our ‘Contact Us’ page).

Thank you for visiting our website and I hope the information is of interest to you".

Roy Sharrad
President 2019 - 2020, Sevenoaks Lions Club

Out and about...

Our Fundraising and Welfare projects often involve moving heavy equipment about, so we recently bought a new van to help us.

If you see us around Sevenoaks, give us a toot or a wave!

Lions International

Lions Clubs International is the world’s largest service club organisation. It is also respected as one of the most effective. Behind the camaraderie, fun, fund-raising and community service projects of Lions clubs, lies a well-organised structure and established policies and practices.

Each Lions club is founded by a charter and has a constitution and by-laws. It is managed by a team of elected officers, and led by a Club President. Lions Clubs International British Isles & Ireland is known as MD105 – its status as a multiple-district. There are 13 districts in MD105, each of which has an elected District Governor.

Lions Clubs International is a secular, non-political, volunteer membership organisation. All of its administrative costs – at local, national and international level – are covered by modest annual membership fees. This means monies raised by fund-raising are spent supporting good causes.

Lions Clubs International is the world's largest service club organization with more than 1.4 million members in approximately 46,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas around the world.
