The Sandstone Quarry Lions Club was chartered in October 1997. Meetings are at the Sandstone Area Golf Course the 4th Monday, each month. Social time is 4:30 p.m. Dinner/Meeting is 5:00 p.m. Dinner is catered by the Golf Course.

The Q. Lions live the Lions motto, "We Serve". Service projects include monthly memory projects at the Essentia Nursing home, providing UV rated sunglasses to children in the 1st grade, hosting an inexpensive game tent at Sandstone Quarry Days in August (everyone wins a prize), donating to the local food shelf and partnering with the Sandstone Lions, Sandstone Area Chamber of  Commerce, and the East Central School District on other projects. Donations are made to various Lions International sponsored charities.

Q. Lions have fundraisers of a garage sale in April, grilling at Chris' Food Stand in July, serving lunch at the Craft Fair in December and others.
