Meetings

RLC chartered April 13, 1965 by group of local, like minded community members.

Our largest project was in 1973 when the members canvassed residents of the old Beverly Township for donations toward the building of a community arena. Over 550 people/families/groups donated and in Sept. 1974, the Beverly Community Centre was opened.

Many of the amenities such as soccer and baseball fields, picnic pavilion, hall air-conditioning and the memorial forest were installed (started/ constructed/ built/ ?) with the money the Club raised from the community.

Other historical events include the purchase of our "Food Trailer" and the building of the "Fry Wagon" which are cornerstones of our 'food service' fundraising activities.

Over the years, our club has grown to the current  level of 55 men and women Lions, who help the community, and people in need including the Lions Dog Guide program.
