2023-2024 Kindness Project

On 8th September 2023 President Anne Thorne and Treasurer Denise Hider, along with Marianne, wife of PDG John Whyte were able to show and talk about their knitting project for babies in Ukraine with International President Patti Hill and her husband Greg Holmes. Members of Lions clubs along with members of the community knitted 250 garments that would fit 3-18months old babies. Most of the wool was kindly donated by Marianne. 3 big boxes have been sent to Keiv Lions via Poland. The postage cost came to NZ$1600. This mostly donated by Lions clubs in 202E and donations from the VIP's attending ANZI convention in Christchurch.
