WHO ARE THE UPPER BELMONT LIONS
The Upper Belmont Lions are a group of 18 committed persons who are primarily from or have links with the Belmont Community. These Lions have identified themselves within the community by performing services such as: Youth camps, scholarships and other youth activities including lectures on safety, drug abuse, story telling competitions; eye testing and health clinics in Schools, School Feeding Programmes; providing assistance to the young girls of St. Jude’s Home; donating food and other types of hampers and clothing to needy persons and shut-ins, Health Clinics, Mother’s Day and Christmas treats for the senior citizens of St. Andrew’s Home, L’Hospice and Lamplighters and school children, Monthly cleaning of St. Andrew’s Home; participation in the restoration of the Belmont Park; sponsoring a LEO Club among other projects.
