How We Serve:
We support sight programs and services, provide health programs that focus on hearing loss to supporting efforts to control and prevent diabetes, provide youth volunteer opportunities and leadership experiences, perform hands-on community work and service projects to provide emergency assistance , and much more. When it comes to meeting challenges, our response is simple: We Serve. Our volunteer projects unite Lions around the world and our work is unconditional. We aren't limited by continents or restricted to certain causes. Lions help wherever, whenever and however we can.
How Plattsburgh Lions Club has served over 80 Years
Your local Lions Club is involved in many of the programs mentioned above through the following services:
-Raising money and collecting food for local food shelf
-Highway clean-up
-Collection and delivery of used eyeglasses for recycle and reuse by people in need
-Provide resources for individuals or organizations that request assistance & Support of the North Country Association for the Visually Impaired (NCAVI)
-Fund scholarships for local schools (i.e. SUNY Plattsburgh) and organizations (i.e. Girl Scouts)
-Vision screenings for children attending local schools or programs (working with other clubs in the area such as the Peru and Chazy Lions Clubs)
-And much more!
