Okanagan Falls is a small community located on the South end of Skaha Lake in the southern interior of British Columbia. Thee main industries of Ok Falls revolve around wine, Touurism, with some manufactureiing plants. Enjoy a visit to Lions gardens, cross the walking pier and walk or bicycle up the west side of Skaha Lake to Kaleden and Penticton. Enjoy our Parks along the beach of Skaha Lake, especially Kenyon Park where you can keep the kids entertained with the water playground. Enjoy samplying the wines of over 14 Estate Wineries in the Okanagan Falls Area, ending your day with ice cream at Ticklebeerries. Golf at St Andrews or Twin Lakes. Star Gaze at the Dominion Radio astrophysical Observatory. Other activiteis include the Lions Easter Egg Hunt, Dog Walk and other Lions and Community Events. Join us at Kenyon Park on Candad Day. watch the festivities join us for a free bratwurst or hot dog, then go to Centennial Park to watch a Music in the PArk starting at 5:00PM
A History of the Okanagan Falls Lions Club
In the spring of 1979 the Keremeos Lions CLub advertized in the Okanagan Falls Viewpoint that they were looking to form a Lions Club in OK Falls.and Lions Wendell johnson and Lion Gary Carlson would be at the hotel restaurant to talk to interested citizens of OKanagan Falls. A charter was issued on December 31 1979 and Lions Clubs from as far away as Moses Lake and Mt Olie joined in celebrating the Chartering of the Okanagan Falls Lions Club. the Club has supported students from Okanagan Falls through there chool years with Bursaries, Dry Grads, Hot reakfasts are served every Thursday during the School /year. We continue to support BC Lions society For children with Disabilities Camp Winfield with monies labour and camperships to attendees. In 1985 when Shuttleworth Creek flooded the Lioins Club with it's can do attitude brought out the shovels and spent the night sandbagging, protecting the homes of our friends in Okanagan falls. During the Fire of 2003 our Lions Club served Breakfast to the fire fighters when the Vaseux Fire threatened our community. Our Lions club members volunteer at the blood donor clinics in Penticton.
We are coming up to 44Years of Service to our community of Okanagan Falls BC is coming up, Our club Chartered in December of1979 The only remaining Charter member of our club is Lion Michael Livingstone DG in 20223/24
