Welcome to the Oak Ridge Lions Club website. We cordially invite you to visit one of our meetings at The Oak Ridge Room @ Bistro 150 in Oak Ridge. We meet the 4th Monday night of each month. We share a casual meal starting at 6:15 pm, the official meeting begins at 6:30 pm.
The Oak Ridge Lions Club lives by the Lions motto: We Serve. We serve in the community by planning and completing projects that are beneficial to the community members.
Some of our projects:
- Host an Annual Golf Tournament to engage our community and support our services;
- Provide a scholarship to a deserving student in the Northwest Guilford County area; and service many other needs in the local community.
- Aid to those in need of visual care, including eyeglasses, exams, and medical care;
- Quarterly litter pick ups in the community;
- Tree planting to support our Lions International goal to plant 1,000,000 trees worldwide (we have already far exceeded our goal with 5 million trees planted);
- Supporting our White Cane Drive to send visually impaired to our retreat on Lake Norman;
This is a service to our fellow man, our neighbors, our community. The Lions discover that the joy of serving brings incredible experiences to the lives of Lions as well as to those whom we serve. The time and effort you spend as a Lion is up to you. We hope to see all our members grow in their service and enthusiasm for the world's largest service organization.
Please email our Treasurer Marshall Clement at marshall@gpagency.com or call our President, Jim Kinneman, at 336-207-7166 if you have questions about the club. Drop-ins are welcome at our meetings!
The life you enrich might just very well be your own!
Lions Clubs International is the world's largest service club organization with more than 1.4 million members in approximately 46,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas around the world.
