LIONS ANNUAL BEDRACE 2019
LIONS 2019 BEDRACE TSHIRTS ON SALE!
The Newburyport Lions are pleased to announce this year’s design winner for the Newburyport Lions YH Bed Race T-shirt. Teigan Trach, is a senior at Newburyport High. T-Shirt Chairman Lion Andy Perry approached the Newburyport High School art department to see if the art class students would be interested in designing the Logo for this year`s Bed Race t-shirts. Art teacher Mary Rakoski was happy to report to Lion Perry that 12 students wanted to design and compete for this year’s logo. Lions T-shirt Chairman and sub-committee selected Teigan’s design as being the most original. Perry said ”all the designs were so different and all showed a lot of creativity”. Teigan was presented with an Amazon gift card for her winning design at a Lions meeting on July 8th.
These t-shirts will be available for $10.00 each during this year`s Bed Race on Federal Street on Thursday August 1st at 6:00PM. Lions and other accompaning volunteers will be walking up and down Federal street during the race selling T-shirts. All proceeds from the sales of these T-shirts will go toward NBPT Lions supported local charities.
