New Baden Lions Club has been serving New Baden and the surrounding community for over 70 years.
The ways we serve our community:
- Provide eyeglasses and hearing aid to those that can't afford them (Contact Charlie Daiber at 618-588-3847 in the New Baden, IL area)
- Scholarships to local high school students (Contact Donna Kuhl at 618-977-1578)
- Assist with various community events such as June Jamboree (Contact Wes Schooley at 618-531-0934
- Provide funding for turkeys for Thanksgiving dinners for needy families
- Provide funding for holiday gifts for needy children in our community
Some fun things we do on an annual basis:
- Easter Egg Hunt at the City Park for children (Saturday 8 days before Easter)
- Host Family Video Trivia event with all proceeds going to a local charity (1st Sunday in October)
- Little Miss New Baden contests (approx 6 weeks prior to June Jamboree weekend)
- Deliver fruit plates to widow/widowers during the holidays (Saturday before Christmas)
We encourage you to participate in one of our local community events and share the incredible feeling of helping others.
