MOUNDS VIEW LIONS CLUB
Chartered in October of 1964, the Mounds View Lions Club has provided 55 years of service to Mounds View, Minnesota, surrounding communities, District 5M-6 and Lions Clubs International. At a present membership of 22 members, the club suppports an after school project at the local middle school along with sponsoring a LEO club at the school. Each year the club presents dictionaries to 3rd graders at two elementry schools; and is always on call to purchase eyeglasses and eye exams for any student. As a charter partner for several Boy Scouts troops. the club provides opportunities for these youth groups to help with service projects. Check out some of the recent projects we have supported at the 'Club Projects Page'.
The club raises most of it's funds by serving up hot dogs, brats and cold pop at several local communty summer festivals. We also host a Christmas time waffle breakfast with Santa at the local middle school.
The Mounds View Lions also provide service at District 5M-6 and Multiple District 5M, along with supporting Lions Clubs International projects. Members have served on the 5M-6 cabinet and 4 have served as District Governor.
The Mounds View Lions Club is a community minded group which includes 'FUN" along with service projects. And we always include 'Monkey Business' along with the new & old business on our agenda.
If you are interested in joining and helping us serve under our motto of 'WE SERVE', please contact us at the email address on the 'Contact Us Page' or come to one of our meetings.
