Montreal (Central) Lions Club

Chartered on September 14th 1922.

We were the first Lions Club chartered in the province of Quebec.

From the start, our main project was aiding the youth. In the early 50's we opened the Lions Boys and Girls Club.

The main features were  :  Movie night, Woodworking, Table tennis, a meeting place, excursions and many other activities.

In 1952, we created the X-Mas cake sale project. It was so successful that the whole province adopted it. While visiting us, Australian governors were impressed with the idea and brought it home with them. This project has raised, since it's creation, more than 45$ Million.
