Who we are and what we do
The Merrill Lions Club is a non-profit organization whose objective is to meet the needs of and provide support for our local community, as well as state Lions endeavors. Through our efforts, we live our motto: We Serve.
Our yearly Lions club’s fundraising activities allow us to help support our charitable efforts:
- Gazebo Nights food stand
- Lions Rubber Duck Race
- Annual golf outing
- Lincoln County Fair food stand
- Labor Day food stand
- Labor Day car show
- November rose sale
Money is distributed throughout the year and provides support for the following in the Merrill community:
- Back packs for kids
- Pinecrest residents Christmas gifts
- Merrill Historical Society
- Merrill Fire Department Tree of Hope
- Park City Gardens
- Aspirus-Merrill Tree of Love
- Fill the Gazebo
- Lincoln Country Humane Society
- Cameras for Normal Park to prevent vandalism
- Child vision screening in schools
- Merrill High School scholarships
- Summer lunch program
- Bell Tower Residence activities
- Park and Rec T-ball scholarship
- Merrill Leo Club
- Lincoln County Learn to Hunt
- Great Speaker Forum for MAPS
- EV blanket for Merrill Fire Department
- Electric bike for Merrill Police Department
