Lion PDG Neal Golub

1946-2014

The Melville Lions are deeply sadened by the loss of Lion PDG Neal Golub.

Lion Neal was a "Lions Lion" and had a tremendous impact on everyone who knew him.

Below is a summary, by no means complete, of Neal's career as a Lion:

Joined the Melville Lions 1980, sponsored by Lion Ritchie Hoffman

Life Member of Lions International

Progessive Melvin Jones Fellow

Served 5 terms as President of the Melville Lions

District Governor District 20S 1996-1997

Served on the New York/Bermuda Lions Foundation for more than 10 years

Served on the LI Lions Eye Bank for 15 years

Created the Knights of the Blind award for the Eye Bank, raising over $100,000

Honored as a Progessive Knight of the Blind

Known throughout New York as a dedicated Lion, Neal was often seen at conventions and Lions events in his custom Excalibur sports car: it was his signature.
