Gear-Up!

For 5 years running the Lions Club of Medicine Hat has collected gently used hockey and ringette equipment, having it checked and approved by the sports associations and distributed free of charge to kids aged 6 to 16 years.  This will take place on August 24 and 25, 2019 at the Hockey Hounds arena.  Check back for further details.

Canada Day Pancake Breakfast

Every year on July 1, the members of the Lions Club of Medicine Hat get up before sunrise and starting cooking!  We serve up pancakes, sausages, coffee and juice to the community at the bottom of the toboggan hill in Kin Coulee Park.  At 7:30 a.m. it is ready to serve up to everyone.  Come on down and join us for breakfast!  This event is just one of the ways that we show our appreciation.  It is a free event and it is our "Thank You" to you, Medicine Hat.

Annual Christmas Hayride

On the first Sunday in December, teams of horses take people in the community for a hayride.  Hot chocolate and oranges are also available and a bonfire is a part of the event as well.  We have a hot dog and popcorn sale.  It is a perfect way to get into the Christmas spirit.  The hayride takes place at the Police Point Interpretive Center from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. on the first Sunday in December.  The Interpetive Center offers crafts for children to try and there is always a chance of seeing some wildlife in the park.  Come down to the Park for a hayride!   This event is another one of the ways that we show our appreciation.  It is a free event and it is our "Thank You" to you, Medicine Hat.  We are doing this again this year on December 1, 2019.

Lions Club Stampede Booth

The Medicine Hat Exhibition and Stampede is the place where we fire up the grill and start cooking!  We cook up hamburgers (the best on the grounds!), hot dogs, smokies, corn on the cob and french fries.  We also have milk and pop.  This event is one of our major fundraisers and allows us to make the donations back to the community that we do.  Our hamburgers are so popular - it has got to be the onions!!!  Thank you Medicine Hat for the support you give us every year.

Stampede this year is being held from July 24 - 27, 2019.  Come and enjoy our fried onions!
