The Meadville Lions Club will host Dr. David Almeida from Erie Retina Research on Monday, January 27, 2025 at the Active Aging Center- 1034 Park Ave. Dr. Almeida’s presentation, which begins at 10:00 am, is on aging and eyes and focuses on inherited retina diseases, macular degeneration (wet/dry), geographic atrophy and more.
Immediately following Dr. Almeida’s presentation, the Erie Retina Research Team will be available until 1:00 pm to conduct onsite retina scans and introduce the Eyedaptic device for low vision wearers. Upon completion of the retina scans and their review by the Erie Retina Research Team, you may be eligible for numerous approved clinical trials for your eye condition. There is no cost for the retina scans or participation in the clinical trials.
Refreshments will be served at Active Aging/Meadville and we ask for an RSVP by Friday, January 17 by calling 814-200-9152.
